1. What SPEAKEASY is (and isn't)

SPEAKEASY ("the Platform"), operated by Mitchem Interactive INC ("we," "us"), is a free directory and matching service that connects professional speakers with people who book them. We are not a party to any engagement, contract, or payment between speakers and clients. We charge no fees and take no commissions. All negotiations, agreements, payments, and performance obligations are strictly between the speaker and the client.

2. Eligibility

Speaker profiles are open to speakers based in the United States who are 18 or older. You must provide accurate information and have the rights to all content you submit (video, photos, text).

3. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your profile content on the Platform and in materials promoting the Platform. You can edit or remove your profile at any time.

4. Acceptable use

No impersonation, no false credentials, no inflated client lists, no spam, no scraping, no harassment, no unlawful content. Self-reported information — including past clients, fees, and booking speed — must be truthful. We may flag, suspend, or remove profiles that violate these terms. Our default posture is to approve fast and trust speakers: we trust you to build trust. Be real, and don't make us regret it.

5. No warranties

The Platform is provided "as is." Speaker profiles are human-reviewed for authenticity before going live, but that review is a quality bar only — it is not an endorsement, warranty, or guarantee of any speaker, client, or engagement outcome, and SPEAKEASY assumes no risk or liability arising from any booking. Matching results are recommendations, not promises. Do your own diligence before signing anything.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mitchem Interactive INC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, and our total liability for any claim is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
